Sunday Sketches

Happy Sunday Everyone! and Happy 4th of July!

I know this is a little early, but I couldn't wait. (plus I will be gone off and on Sunday)

You can find more great Sunday Sketches at Sophia's place so be sure to drop by for a visit.

These are two new pieces done this week inspired by amazing artist Rebecca Anthony at http://daisydollsdollshop.blogspot.com/.

You can click on each pic. for more detail.

You all know I love detail work, so after seeing her series of embellished, detailed work, I was oh so inspired! This is one of the very best parts of blogging!!! I always get inspired by all of you wonderful unique artists.

Hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing Sunday!

Love these pieces, and contrast between one with eyes closed and one with eyes open - how her heart moves from mind to sight...do not know if that was what you were thinking, but that is how I saw it...like moving love from a thought to an action....lovely...bkm

Cool interpretation - I am a big believer that Love is an 'ACTION VERB' not a noun, so I love this idea. Thanks for your lovely thoughts.

These are fantastic Julia, I love them. They have a zentangle feel to the hair and your colors are fabulous. I will have to check out Rebecca's blog.

Julia,
You are so inspiring! I love how you see something and you jump in and give it a try. I love all of the detail in these two pieces. Gosh, I cannot even begin to imagine how long it took you to do these. Wow!! :)

Hugs!

WOW! You are really good at these type of faces...so much detail....beautiful work.

I hope you are enjoying your 4th - I definitely want to check out the site that you write your little children's stories on...after the holiday, when I am back to "work mode"!

These are great - especially Ms Zen. I do love Rebecca's work too. You might also like the work by Nikki Farquharson. I posted about her today on my blog if you want to pop over. She has a website but it is being remade but you can also find some more of her work on www.thecoolhunter.co.uk (click on the art link).
