Sunday Sketches

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday to you All!  I sure missed visiting everyone last week and sharing all of your great sketches.  I was away on vacation which you can read about here.  It was lovely to take a real break and get away for a bit! ~  The young gal above is the latest piece I am working on...so difficult to get a good picture or scan at this stage, but hopefully you can see her outline.  You can find more wonderful sketches over at BlueChairDiary, home of our lovely hostess Sophia.

And this is a doodle page from the little sketchbook I bought to just have fun in ~ I do love my hair curly, even though I wear it straight and sleek most of the time, I love me some big 80's hair every once in a while!
(Smiles)

Hope you are all having wonderful Spring weather wherever you are...The bulbs are popping up everywhere here and I am just loving it!  Acutally mowed our lawn for the first time today and it was heaven!  I love to stripe the lawn, and I especially love to stripe a curved lawn, and our new house has lots of curves in the landscaping!  Perfect for me!

Wishing you joy and creativity and peace today and for the week to come!

Smiles

Hi Julia, looks like the Pacific Northwest is the first in line tonight/today. I love your girl her eyes are beautiful and from the rest of the sketch she is going to be gorgeous. I like your doodle too, It is far more than just a doodle however. By the way how did you get sun? We had cold and rain and hail on and off all day. I am really wanting Spring.

Oh these are great! I really like how you have got the flowers in the WIP.
Alas I have little choice - I wear my hair curly-ish most the time if the weather permits :)

I'm glad you had such a wonderful vacation :)

Those eyes and lips are so beautifully vibrant they just jump off the page!

Your "doodle" is fun and fantastic (though I'm a little envious of her hair - mine won't hold a curl no matter what I do!)

I wait for the day when I can smell fresh cut grass again--I'm not sure it will ever happen around here :-(

I love the curly hair. My daughter's is super curly and she wears if up all the time. I always permed my hair to get her type of curls. I adore your pen and ink line work.

She looks lovely so far. I love her large soulful eyes and her lips look great! I have such a hard time with lips. Can't wait to see her finished.

Good for you for getting a little vacation in!

Ooh I've just been enjoying the story of youur vacation - sounds wonderful. Yup, we Brits know a thing or two about gardening - although mine is looking a little out of control at the moment - the post winter tangle!

My hair is naturally straight - I'd love a few girls like your gal!

I always enjoy your beautiful doodle filled ladies. I dream of big 80s hair myself, but unfortunately my dreams are the only place I will ever be able to achieve it.

So glad you had a nice vacation! You makes the prettiest eyes and lips, I think if you left your picture like that it will still look perfect. Love the doodle and all the detail in it!

hello,
so you were on vacation, I will go and have a look. I have a hard time photographing sketches too, I guess I draw too lightly.

The top one I am sure will be a beauty and I love your sketch book gal!
