Sunday Sketches

Happy Sunday Sketches Everyone!

This is a piece I did today and I am so in love with it! I have to finish the background yet, and I'd like to work more color into her dress, but I had sooooo much fun embellishing her and just really detailing her hair. I love detail work, so I just lost myself for hours over this piece, which is absolutely the best way to create. You can click on the image for a larger picture.
Best of all....She makes me smile smile S M I L E!

And you all know I am all about the smiles!

Have a super Sunday all!

Love her - she feels like a mother earth type to us, a garden angel, very exotic.

She looks like she might live in on of your amazing trees and be out for a quick visit to us mere mortals!

A really lovely sketch!

Thank you all for your sweet comments - it's so much fun to share something I'm really proud of. I look forward to Sunday sketches every week because it presses me to create at least once a week, even if I'm crazy busy with kids and family and work. Thanks for sharing and cheering me on.

Smiles to you all!

Yes she is a little textured -the gold dots are from a gold pen I have. I wanted her to glow a bit. The rest of the work is colored pencils.

Thanks again for the sweet comments!
