Sunday Sketches

Happy Sunday Sketches Everyone!
The sun is out and the birds are singing!
For more great artistic expression, head over to Sophia's place at http://bluechairdiary.blogspot.com/.
This is a piece I have been working on this week which was intended to be a mother looking down on her baby cradled in her arms, but my 1-1/2 yr old scribbled on the space over her head so I cropped her and may just call her finished as is. I was trying to practice a different style of eyes here, downcast, and I think it turned out ok. I guess I'm into the redheads too cause my hand wandered over to the orange and red pencil section.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
Off to check out more great Sunday ART!

I think it turned out lovely. I love the way she is looking down....what a sweet expression and idea for a drawing. Something to frame in a nursery. a mother's love...

I would love for madeline to be a book - my daughter is actually writing the words for the pictures i drew...i am hoping to laminate it for her...and then you never know.
Happy Sunday to YOU - I hope you are enjoying the day!!

I really love her. Very beautiful. And I quite enjoy how you create the hair with the multiple colours, etc. The eyes are very "catching", too.

Happy SS!

hello Julia,
I was wandering in East Glacier the past couple days, so just getting around to my sketch visits. I love her hair, so feminine and wonderful. Her downcast eyes are just that, they deliver your glance perfectly. On top of that, she is so lovely.
