Scenes from Christmas...

Me, Eamonn, (my youngest) and Santa who we found just waiting for us at our favorite breakfast spot!

Beautiful Amira with Santa

Santa, Eamonn, Papa and pretty Rayne

The living room decorated for a festive holiday!

Can you tell I love RED!!!

...and I love to bake...These are Lemon Poppyseed Muffins with lemon glaze...Yum!

Several batches of these delicious holiday sugar cookies were baked up by the kids.  I think they did an amazing job too!

My oldest daughter, Brittany, (above) and the two little boys and I made this fun gingerbread house.  I got it from Costco and LOVED it as the house was already constructed, something I have such a hard time doing!  We just had to decorate it, and that is the fun part!

What a wonderful holiday this was for my family. We feel so very blessed! I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing, love-filled holiday with your family. I looked out at these seven children as they tear into their gifts Christmas morning, and I realize there is no comparison to the joy my family brings me. Craig and I are so rich in this regard. No matter what happens, my children soothe me, challenge me, feed my soul, and inspire me on a daily basis to be a better person and a better Mother.

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year!

Smiles,

Julia

Julia -- i've always loved what you've sketched (and been so jealous), but what you craft in your "real" world is equally impressive. thank you for sharing such wonderful pictures of your home and family (with a captured Father Christmas as well -- I hear they're dangerous). Beautiful family, girl. Here's wishing you a wonderful 2011 ... and thank you for putting such effort into your amazing and inspiring blog with your artistry and writing. Ciao! - Jg.

Julia---What a lovely family you have. Enjoy these years, in spite of the many directions you are pulled in. You will blink your eyes and they will all be grown.

Have a great rest of the holiday.
