Sunday Sketches

HAPPY SUNDAY SKETCHES ALL!
Our power was out this morning so I missed posting this earlier.
This is a sketch I did of a gal on her wedding day.
The sketch was done in colored pencils, but the scan is black and white.
Can't wait to get over and see what everyone's sketches!
You can find more Sunday sketches at

Oh, Julia...she is SO beautiful! Wow! I love her and the detail. She reminds me of the young gals on Little House and the Prairie. LOVE IT! :)

I love her freckles and that little sparkle of excitement and nerves she has in her eyes!!
On another note, I've often heard about this 'laffy taffy' stuff and wondered what it is... Now I know! Looks like the kind of stuff to pull your fillings out!

She is lovely, she looks so young and innocent to me. A very sweet sketch. (She also looks a bit like my friend's granddaughter.)

Hi Julia, Glad you were able to post, I guess I didn't check back here late enough (3 hour time difference and all!).

I love this lovely young bride, what great detail you've captured. Her eyes and expression are lovely and I adore the wispy curl escaping from her hair - wonderful job!

I can't think of anything more special for a bride than a sketch such as yours! You could start a trend. There's something very special in how you captured the eyes.

thank you all so much for the lovely comments! She was really fun to draw and my first time actually measuring out the features to make sure I had everything in proportion.
