Sunday Sketches - Brittany

This week I have had hardly any time for art.  We are still getting ready to move and signing on our new house tomorrow!  Very excited.

So this is a 'just started' sketch of my oldest daughter, Brittany, as she looked when she was much younger.
Still enjoying these 'Zen Portraits' a lot and I find them very relaxing.

Hope all of you are having a relaxing and wonderful Sunday!

Moongazer

Good Monday Morning!
This is a new piece I started yesterday. I call it 'MOONGAZER'.
I am loving it in black and white, so I will preserve a copy at that stage, but I can't resist adding color, so that will be the next step.
This is done in indian ink with a .005 tip.
At first she sort of looked like a mermaid, but that is not what I was going for - we'll see if color changes that.
I always Love to hear what you think -

'Mother Earth' work in progress

New indian ink drawing - sort of thinking of Mother Earth / Renaissance Woman when I drew this one...
What do you think?
I will post with color after I get a copy to work with. I am preserving all my ink drawings now in the original black and white, and coloring copies.

Sunday Sketches

I am gone for the weekend so had to post this extra early.

It's another in a series I am doing. I am not sure if I will add color to this one or not...I just love the black and white.

On another note...reservations are completed and we are on the early international sailing to Victoria BC! Two nites of fun AWAY from home! Yeah!

Smiles everyone! Hopefully I can steal my daughter's laptop and so be able to visit all of my favorite Sunday Sketches while away!
